This is a set of 10 seeds from Hangjiao Space Pepper #7 - Supernova. This is one of the more popular Hangjiao varieties - and for good reason! Very, very prolific producing plants that grow beautiful long thin 7-inch peppers with a gentle twist to them. These peppers have a decent heat, similar to Cayenne but with a flavor that is hard to beat! A tart sweetness and a great crunch, these peppers are best enjoyed raw, but also make a great hot sauce.  Seeds from 2022 open pollinated garden.

Hangjiao peppers have an incredible story that involves China sending seeds to space to expose them to space radiation in the hopes of speeding mutations for bigger yields, higher vitamin C content, and faster growing. 
I went on a quest starting in 2019 to find seeds for all 10 varieties and to grow them all in the winter and spring of 2021 in my indoor pepper garden. I had to source seeds from all over the world to make this possible but now that I have grown all 10 varieties and harvested seeds I am excited to make them available to pepper lovers to grow on their own!
